The Mental Health Association (MHA) of Cortland County is a private, non-profit organization, affiliated with the New York State and National Mental Health Associations. Our organization is dedicated to enhancing the lives of all Cortland County residents by improving their mental health and emotional well-being. Under the leadership of a volunteer Board of Directors, our mission is achieved through advocacy services, educational presentations, prevention programs, and information and resource referrals. ProgramsLunch-n-Learn LecturesThe Mental Health Association of Cortland County sponsors a monthly lecture series as well as other workshops and informational presentations. The Lunch-n-Learn series includes local and regional providers speaking on a wide variety of topics in the area of emotional and behavioral health. Area professionals, as well as persons suffering from mental illness, and family members affected by it, are invited to attend.Please visit our calendar for a current list of upcoming Lunch-N-Lunch events.Community EventsThe Mental Health Association of Cortland County participates in various community events (ie, health fairs, secondary school and higher education events) by providing educational information and materials related to emotional and behavioral health issues. Work with TAGIn collaboration with the Mental Health Stigma Taskforce (TAG), the Mental Health Association of Cortland County supports and assists in coordinating efforts to combat the stigma associated with mental illness. Support GroupsSupport of Local Survivors of Suicide Group (SOLOS) û Come join us in a safe, comfortable environment to talk about your lost loved one(s). Meetings are held the 1st Thursday of every month.
