    Transportation Coordination: This service provides information, assistance, assessment, and scheduling for medical, social and shopping transportation needs.

    Assisted Transportation: Community Action of Orleans & Genesee’s “Door Through Door” Transportation (CATS bus) is a specialized service for those who are unable to use other options due to their need for extra help. A driver is able to assist riders with their belongings and preparation for boarding the accessible bus.

    Social Transportation: This program supports costs to transport groups of older adults who want to participate in social events or outings as approved by the Genesee Senior Foundation, Inc.

    Let one of our dedicated volunteer drivers take you to your medical or other important appointments Mondays through Fridays. If you don't drive or have transportation and you live in the Deposit area (Town/Village of Deposit or Town of Sanford), you are eligible to ride in our luxurious minivan to destinations in Deposit and to locations outside of Deposit (Binghamton, Delhi, Vestal - to name a few). Call us to schedule a ride. Calling at least one to two weeks in advance is appreciated but not necessary. Sorry, the van is not handicapped accessible for wheelchairs or scooters.

  • Transportation Program

    L.E.A.P. offers three types of Transportation Services

    Non-medicaid transportation in partnership with Washington County Office for the Aging and Disability Resources.

    Individual must be age 60 and older and be a resident of Washington County. Medical appointments are given priority

    Transportation for errands such as food shopping, pharmacy visits, and more depends on scheduling availability. To schedule a ride or find out more call 518-746-2391 ext.4 or email transportation@leapservices.org.

    Medicaid Transportation is available Monday and Wednesday 9am-3pm. Individual must be 18 or older. To schedule a ride call 855-360-3544 and ask for Washington County EOC/L.E.A.P. or email transportation@leapservices.org.

    Work-Related Transportation is available based on schedule which includes rides to job training and interviews. Individual must meet federal income eligibility. To schedule a ride or find out more call 518-746-2391 ext.4 or email transportation@leapservices.org.

  • Air Charity Network

    The Air Charity Network run by Angel Flight Northeast provides free air transporation in private aircraft by volunteer pilots so children and adults may access life saving medical care. Also transports organs and blood for patients awaiting transplants.

  • Office for Aging Mini-Bus

    The Office for Aging (OFA) Mini-Bus is a curb-to-curb shared ride bus service for those age 60 and over who live in Broome County's urban core. Serves areas within 3/4 mi of BC Transit fixed route bus service, which includes much of Binghamton, Johnson City, Endicott, Endwell, and Vestal. Can be used to travel to medical appointments, grocery stores, hairdressers, restaurants, and many other places a senior may wish to go. Must have an OFA ID card to ride this bus. An ID card application may be obtained by contacting the Broome County Office for Aging at (607) 778-2411. A reservation by phone (call (607) 275-6164) or online must be made in advance. No fee for this service but a suggested contribution of $2.00 per one-way ride helps to offset the cost of the service. No one will be denied a ride due to inability to contribute. OFA Mini-Bus operates Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4:00 PM.

Hope Lodge: free temporary housing facility for cancer patients and a caregiver receiving treatment in Monroe County but resides outside of Monroe County. Support programs: Breast Cancer, General Support, Look Good...Feel Better, Prostrate and Men Cancer groups.
