Daily Sandwich Program/Soup Kitchen

The Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen’s Daily Sandwich Program is unique. It offers a free bag lunch to anyone who comes to the door; no questions asked. Clients do not have to register, and do not have to reside in a specific geographic area. The goal of the program is to quell hunger in the most immediate and effective way possible. As a result of its accessibility, the Daily Sandwich Program hands out an epic number of sandwiches -- between 7,500 and 12,000 per month.

Assumption Food Pantry

This more traditional program provides families with food each month to prevent hunger, and serves many additional families who may be in crisis. The Food Pantry accommodates a prescribed geographic area as designated by the Inter-Religious Food Consortium. Parcels are distributed in quantities based on number of dependents. Clients must meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for the program, and register in advance.

Price chopper is a supermarket that sells food and household items. Price Chopper is located on 555 East Main Street, Little Falls, NY 13365.

Fairview United Methodist Church food pantry offers food to those in need. Clients can access the food pantry as needed and will need to provide name and number of people in the household. Food Pantry: 4-5:30pm 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, 11:30-12:30 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. Please Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to closing! The church is located at 254 Robinson St in Binghamton, New York.

The West Winfield Food Pantry serves thousands of people in the Herkimer county providing food for those in need. The location of this food pantry is 452 E. Main Street, West Winfield, NY 13491

Senior Dining Site - Tuesday and Thursday at Noon

PEACE, Inc.’s food service program prepares nutritious lunches for seniors at many sites throughout Onondaga County. Meals feature grilled entrees, fresh fruits and vegetables.

Suggested contribution – $3.00*

Guest meals – $6.00

*Any contribution is gratefully accepted; no client is turned away due to an inability or unwillingness to contribute.

Program Description: Area food pantries provide a five-day food supply for each member of the family in need of food. Most emergency pantries will assist individuals up to once a month; exceptions are made for critical needs when clients may be served more frequently for short periods of time.
Documentation required for service: Proof of residence.
Referral Procedures: Agencies and area clergy can refer clients to area food pantries using a referral form.

We exist to serve you. Whether you are single or married, working or unemployed, in your 20's or in your 70's: if you are struggling to pay your bills and put food on the table, please contact us. Maybe we can help! We have clients who are disabled, unemployed, retired, and working but unable to earn enough to support themselves. We serve individuals and families of all sizes.

We are one of the food pantries in the Olean area connected together through the Food Bank of Western New York. The pantries work together to help feed those in need.

The pantry is run entirely by volunteers. Most of our volunteers are either a client who uses the pantry or a member of a local church. If you would like to volunteer some time at the pantry, we would be glad to get to know you and have your help. Please call and ask for Linda Shafer, our pantry director.

Please contact us (716-373-6800) if you would like to donate food or money. The Hillside Wesleyan Church provides the building, utilities, and office supplies that we need, so any money donated goes to buying food to be given to those in need. All money donated to Loaves and Fishes is kept separate from church finances. Like all the pantries of the area, we are always in need of food to distribute.

The IFC is an umbrella agency for more than 70 food pantries and meal sites throughout Onondaga County.

The IFC assists each of these programs with donations on food, money and program support.
