Program Parent Training and Information Center:

Parent Training and Information Center

  • Description:

Sarbridge’s Parent Training and Information Center (PTIC) program is federally funded through the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This is a federally funded parent center. The purpose of the program is to provide training and information to families of children with disabilities and to the professionals who serve them. PTICs serve families of children of all ages and all disabilities to help them better understand their children’s disabilities and education needs, communicate more effectively with school and related professionals, understand their rights and responsibilities under IDEA, and obtain appropriate services for their children. The Northern Regional Center for Independent Living (NRCIL) is a Core Community Partner with Starbridge for PTIC.

We also provide trainings and workshops to professionals and others who work with children with disabilities and their families.
