Medicaid Application Assistance Program (MAAP)

• Description:

  The Medicaid Application Assistance Program (MAAP) at Western New York Independent Living, Inc. helps individuals who are 65 or older, blind, and/or disabled (regardless of age) apply for Medicaid services. MAAP staff work directly with the Erie County Department of Social Services to help qualifying individuals apply for a variety of Medicaid-based services. These services include:

  • Community Medicaid

  • Medicaid-Buy In for Working People w/ Disabilities

  • Medicaid Spend-Down Program

  • Managed Long Term Care (MLTC)

  • Nursing Home/Chronic Care Coverage
