A Personal Care Aide (PCA) can provide assistance with bathing, toileting, eating and dressing, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, transferring, medication reminders, and other non-medical tasks.
A Home Health Aide (HHA) provides the same services as a PCA, plus colostomy care, taking blood pressure and counting respirations, dressing skin surfaces, taking oral and axillary temperatures, and can assist with braces, splints and slings.
CDPAP is a statewide Medicaid program that provides an alternative way of receiving home care services for chronically ill or physically disabled individuals with a medical need.
