Geriatric Initiative Depression & Alcohol Abuse Screening & Assistance

  • Description:

    CCNS/Geriatric Initiative Program provides awareness of depression, substance abuse, as well as screening and referrals for senior citizens in the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens.The program provides counseling and linkage to mental health services, healthcare, senior centers, and when appropriate, assistance with other entitlements. These activities create opportunities to assist the elderly population with intervention, assessments, screenings and referrals for mental health as well as other concrete services and entitlements. Must be at least 60 years old.
