Family Resource Center

  • Description:

    Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

    Friday by appointment only – 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

    The Eastside Family Resource Center (FRC) provides a variety of opportunities and services, including:

     Activities for Youth & Seniors

     Advocacy & Support

     Community Outreach & Partnerships

     Crisis Intervention

     Job Readiness

     Family Development

     Information & Referrals

     Parent Support & Education

     Volunteer Opportunities

     Seasonal Events

    Food Bank

    Hours: Monday 9:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.

    Individuals are required to provide center with a current proof of address, photo ID for each individual in the household and must live within the specified area of the center.

    BINGO for Seniors

    Wednesday and Friday at 1:00 p.m.

    Cultural Events

    Bi-monthly special events

    Eastside Employment Center

    New York State Department of Labor listings, resume writing through referrals and classes designed to help customers find employment.

    Emergency Assistance

    Providing advocacy to families through crisis intervention and emergency assistance.

    Emergency Food Services

    Provides emergency food for families in need. Must have a referral.

    Family Support Program

    Providing assistance to families by preventing domestic violence. The program allows face to face support for anyone in need.

    Neighborhood Advisory Council

    Area residents and local merchants concerned about the community contribute ideas and suggestions often incorporated into FRC programs.

    Senior Exercise Program

    Providing nutritional education, companionship and exercise for the elderly.

    Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

    Senior Nutrition Program

    Prepared lunches are available to anyone over 60 years of age, with a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal. Lunch is served 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

    Summer Program

    Provides a variety of activities for youth ages 7-13 ranging from arts and crafts, gardening for a healthier you, cooking classes, and community outings for socialization/cultural events.

    Monday-Thursday at 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

    Free use of computers for job search and apartment availability. A fax machine is also offered.
