Program Day Habilitation Program:

Day Habilitation Program

  • Description:

    Day Habilitation programs can be offered to people regardless of where they live. They take place outside of a person’s home. Site-based Day Hab usually occurs at a certified site and Day Hab Without Walls typically occurs in the community.

    Day Habilitation services can assist people to acquire, retain or improve their self-help, socialization and adaptive skills, including communication, travel and other areas in adult education. Activities and environments are designed to foster the development of skills and, greater independence, community inclusion, relationship building, self-advocacy and informed choice. Additionally, people accessing Day Habilitation often contribute to their communities through volunteer work.

    Mozaic offers a variety of settings that include art, theater, music, gaming, photography, yoga and robotics. In addition, promoting both healthy lifestyles and mental health are essential to all the people we support.

    We are continuing to ask the people we support what they need and would like in their day to ensure we continue to grow with the ever-needed changes and interests that they have. The people we support play an integral part in shaping the services and opportunities we provide.

    Center for Lifelong Learning

    The CLLL offers a variety of volunteer opportunities and community connections so people can discover their own interests, talents and aspirations. We encourage and develop independence and self esteem, additionally, our Skylarc Studios helps people explore their artistic side while they learn about various art forms and foster their artistic capabilities. Artists at Skylarc have recently been selling their work on Etsy and various art shows throughout the area.

    Activities offered include:

    cooking, technology, recreation, art, exercise, music, horticulture, wood working and more!

    Services and supports offered:

    Skills training, Communication & socialization, Money management, Mobility and personal care assistance, Daily activities to increase independence, Volunteer work, Community engagement

    Day Habilitation Without Walls

    This offers people the ability to integrate into their local community through various daily planned events. These person-centered activities are based on the wants and needs of the individual and their family. Individuals develop social, interpersonal, communication, work and problem solving skills. These community-based life skills are achieved through volunteer work, peer activities, physical exercise, travel planning, participation in art and cultural activities, learning money management skills and much more.
