Programs/Services? Identifying such adults who need assistance or who have no one willing and able to assist them responsibly? Providing prompt response and investigation of adults at risk? Assessing the individualÆs situation and service need? Providing counseling to clients, their families, or other responsible adults on handling affairs of at risk persons? Arranging for appropriate alternative living arrangements as determined necessary? Assisting in the location of social services, medical care and other resources in the community? Arranging for guardianship, conservatorship, commitment, or the protective placement as needed.? Providing advocacy and assistance in arranging for legal service to assure receipt of rights and entitlements? Providing homemaker and housekeeper/chore service as determined necessary? Supervision of all residential services (family-type homes) including services provided in these homesEligibility : All individuals 18 years of age or older who meet all of the following three criteria are eligible for intervention:1. Are incapable of meeting their own basic needs or of protecting themselves from harm due to mental and/or physical incapacity2. Are in need of protection from actual or threatened harm, neglect or hazardous conditions caused by the action or inaction of either themselves or other individuals3.
