    Access Chautauqua helps assist elderly and disabled homeowners to remain in their home through home adaptations and modifications. Program can provide home modifications such as wheelchair ramps, walk-in showers, stair-chair lifts or other moderate modifications that will make the home safe to live in, depending on individual needs.

    Eligiblity: Only owner-occupied homes can be assisted, although modifications can be needed by a household member who is not the owner of the home. The homeowner must be current with their mortgage and property taxes and have homeowners insurance.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Income:Annual household income must be below the following: household size of one- $38,850; household size of two - $44,400; household size of three $49,950; household size of four $55,500. Income limits continue to increase with household size.
    Residency:Program is available to homeowners throughout Chautauqua County.
