Offering consultative and supportive services aimed at increasing independence for recipients of SSDI and/or SSI benefits throughout the Hudson Valley by providing information and education on available work incentives.
The Crime Victims Assistance Center, (CVAC), has certified crisis counselors who provide 24 hour support through their crisis hotline and advocacy to all four local hospitals and local police agencies. Victim advocates provide support and assistance to victims, family or friends and act as liaisons with hospitals and law enforcement staff. Serves victims of violent crimes, rape, abuse, and domestic violence.
Landlord/tenant mediation and advocacy are an important part of UTA’s housing services. Over the years United Tenants has been able to have a presence in city courts where UTA’s housing counselor has assisted with mediation.

Legal Services
Provides legal assistance in Suffolk to victims of domestic violence relating to family matters, including orders of protection, custody and visitation. Child support will also be handled, if raised as a part of the custody/visitation case. Project works closely with domestic violence agencies with the goal of providing protection from abuse and independence for the victim, so as to end the cycle of violence. (631)232-2400
