The objective of a Drop-In Center program is to identify and engage persons who may choose not to participate in more structured programs or who might not otherwise avail themselves of mental health services, and to provide services and supports in a manner which these individuals would accept. These programs are low demand, flexible and relatively unstructured, and responsive to individual need and circumstance.

Senior community centers serve as a community focal point where older adults come together for services and activities that reflect their experience and skills, respond to their diverse needs and interests, enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in and with the community. Several senior centers exist in Broome County: Broome West Senior Center (Endwell), Johnson City Senior Center, Vestal Senior Center, First Ward Senior Center (Binghamton), Eastern Broome Senior Center (Harpursville), Northern Broome Senior Center (Whitney Point), Deposit Senior Center, North Shore Senior Center (Binghamton) and Oak Street Senior Center (Binghamton).
Rainbow Seniors ROC is an advocacy, service and social activity group for greater Rochester area LGBTQ+ seniors (50+). All programs are open to the public. Our members are from Rochester, the Finger Lakes Region, the Southern Tier, and Buffalo.
Embracing diversity, equity and inclusion, we act as a voice for Rochester’s older lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer adults. We provide an opportunity for members to connect with community, enrich their lives and link with needed senior services.
