  • Preschool: Ready to Read

Give your Child a Head Start!

Have your 4 or 5-year old reading before they begin Kindergarten!

The J.C.C. Preschool and its educators do wonderful work in preparing our children for school. Our meaningful play based preschool provides children with the important opportunity to learn through structured and active free play with emphasis on socialization skills, occurring both indoors and out. The "Ready to Read" program takes it just one step further and adds a unique compliment to the Preschool curriculum, one that you won't find anywhere else in our area.

Through fun and age appropriate material, our New York State certified teachers promote the foundations for both reading and writing before your child enters Kindergarten. Imagine equipping your child with the tools for early reading and writing before they head off to school. What a confidence boost for young learners.

A little more about our program:

    - "Ready to Read" is available to all local 4 and 5-year-olds.

    - "Ready to Read" runs for 21 weeks during the school year, broken down into 3, 7 week sessions.

    - Students attend two 50-minute learning sessions per week.

    - Sessions are held at the J.C.C. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

    - Sessions are offered hourly between 1 and 3pm.

    - Each class will consist of no more than 4 children per teacher.

    - The program is designed to be FUN! The goal of the program is to empower our children while improving their confidence and self-esteem.

    - The cost of the program for members is $900 for the entire 21 weeks and $945 for nonmembers.

We are now in our fourth year of the program and it has proved to be extremely successful for so many children. If you are interested in "Ready to Read" please contact J.C.C. for more information.
