The program is staffed by Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York Inc attorneys' that provide advice and representation and/or referrals as appropriate to Albany County seniors age 60+. Group presentations are given at Albany County senior centers and congregate sites; topics include: wills, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and estate matters.

Medicare Savings Program (MSP) assist people with low-income and limited resources in paying for their Medicare premiums. They may also qualify for extra help paying the cost of their Medicare prescription drug coverage.

The Center for Resolution & Justice (CRJ) provides conflict resolution services, offered at no or low cost to participants, designed to address and resolve a wide range of interpersonal disputes. The conflict resolution services include Mediation, Conflict Coaching, and Restorative Justice Practices. Center for Resolution and Justice can help with problems including Custody and Visitation, Divorce, Neighborhood, Workplace, Agricultural, Small Claims, Elder Care, Relationship Matters, Special Education, Parenting Matters, Lemon Law, and Housing. Center for Resolution and Justice conflict resolution services are available in all 8 Western New York counties-Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming.

Divorce Mediation is a voluntary settlement process used frequently and successfully by married couples who want to divorce, and by domestic partners who want to separate. Divorce mediation gives couples the option to plan their futures rationally, and in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect. With the assistance of a trained divorce mediator, you can reach an agreement that is custom-made for your family, your finances and your future.

Catholic Charities staff is trained to respond to trauma and use these skills as they interact with families who live with and are impacted by domestic violence. Staff/therapists provide services including counseling to survivors (of any age, children to seniors) and their families along with linkage to specialized services in community offices located across the eight counties of Western New York.

The HIV/AIDS Law Consortium (HALC) program provides free legal services to people in our communities who have been impacted by HIV/AIDS. HALC helps people living with HIV/AIDS with many civil (not criminal) legal problems. These legal problems include, but are not limited to: Social Security benefits, health care, end-of-life planning (last wills, living wills, health care proxies, and powers of attorney), housing, public benefits, future child care planning (guardianship, standby guardianship, and adoption subsidies), consumer protection, employment, legal name changes, and individual rights (discrimination, confidentiality, and medical privacy).

•TLCIL staff can assist individuals with applying for benefits, such as SSI, SSDI, food stamps, Medicaid, HUD, and public assistance. We can also answer questions regarding SSI & SSDI work incentives so that people with disabilities who are receiving these benefits can become successfully employed while understanding the potential impact of employment on their benefits.
